A Song by Tsoyak: "An Appeal from the Heart"

High Peaks Pure Earth has translated a song by female Tibetan singer Tsoyak titled “An Appeal from the Heart”. The song was released in 2011 as part of an album, many of the videos are available online on YouTube.
From Yushu in Kham, Tsoyak is the sister of popular Tibetan singer Dekyi Tsering, who also wrote the music for “An Appeal from the Heart”. Simple in structure and message, the song addresses a faraway lama and Tibetans (“brothers and sisters”) outside Tibet.
This is the tenth weekly music video translated by High Peaks Pure Earth since the song series started in November 2012 with “Song of Sorrow” by Dawoe and the first in the series by a female singer! Check back next week for another powerful music video from Tibet and be sure to also go back and watch our other videos using this link: http://highpeakspureearth.com/category/music-from-tibet/
Below are the subtitled music video and translated lyrics of “An Appeal from the Heart” by Tsoyak.

“An Appeal from the Heart”
By Tsoyak

Honourable Lama
You are the sun in my heart
Honourable Lama
Although you have gone far away
In my heart
You are the light in the darkness
Shining forever in my heart

Ae! Honourable Lama
Oh! Honourable Lama

Honourable Lama, please bless me
Honourable Lama, please bless me

Honourable brothers and sisters
You are the stars in my heart
Honourable brothers and sisters
Although you are in a foreign land
In my heart
You are the unwavering love
Forever the hope of my heart

Ae! Honourable brothers and sisters
Oh! Honourable brothers and sisters
I miss you

Honourable brothers and sisters
I miss you

Honourable brothers and sisters
I miss you
